In the Trees - Works from the Battat Collection
July 02
- August 15, 2009
Opening: July 2, 2009 6:00 PM
In the Trees is an exhibition for summer. Pulled from the Battat Collection, this show gathers together a diverse compendium of works from Old Master drawing to contemporary photography. The title of the exhibition references what some works describe overtly and others merely hint at with leaps of the imagination. Together they create an uncanny haunting world of tangled branches, sprawling limbs, shaded canopies and soaring heights.
In the Trees includes work by Manoug Alemian, Mattheus Bril, Jan Breughel the Elder, Jacques Callot, Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot, Jean-Francois Millet, Berthe Morisot, Charles Joseph Natoire, Alfred Pellan, Ed Pien, Camille Pissarro, Felicien Rops.
