John Grande’s book signing at Battat Contemporary

For over 20 years Montreal-based writer and curator John Grande has contributed his views on art to a variety of arts publications including Artforum, Sculpture (USA), Art on Paper, Vie des Arts, Espace Sculpture, Vice Versa and Canadian Forum.
Recently a broad spectrum of John Grande’s interviews and writings on art, sculpture, photography, public art, and ecology have been brought together in two volumes titled Art Allsorts: Writings on Art & Artists. To celebrate the publication of John Grande’s latest, Battat Contemporary has invited John Grande to be present for a signing on Saturday December 12th at 2pm.
The Landscape Changes, a recent collection of John Grande’s poetry , with original illustrations by West Coast artist Arnold Shives will likewise have its Montreal launch for this occasion at Battat Contemporary. Produced by Gaspereau Press in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, and published by Prospect Press, The Landscape Changes is limited to an edition of 200, and will be signed by the artist Arnold Shives and the writer John Grande.
Other books and productions produced in recent years will likewise be on view, and available for purchase, including Stonehenge & Avebury, an earlier collaboration between Shives and Grande that won an Alcuin Society Award last year.
